Teenage Cellist Leads 43% Surge In Classical Music, Wins Top BRIT Awards

Watch out music lovers, the fastest-growing part of the industry is not rock, or rap, or soul – but classical. Deezer confirmed that classical streams are up by 43% in a year worldwide, boosted by the likes of 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason. He has just won two top prizes at the Classic BRIT Awards: Male Artist of the Year and Critics’ Choice.
