2003 – Clermont, FL Renaissance Faire Gallery

One day, while driving around exploring central Florida, my family came across a sign for a “Renaissance Faire” in Clermont, FL. We had never attended an event like this and decided “Why not”? My son had recently started playing the Mandolin and we thought this might be really interesting for him.

It turned out that it was a great event that the whole family enjoyed. I don’t know if this community still holds the event, I believe this was their first year, but I know the band we fell in love with there still travels and performs. 2003 – The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Gallery

Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse [ponceinlet.org] is Florida’s tallest lighthouse (second tallest in the country) and is a designated National Historic Landmark. It’s located close to Daytona Beach and Orlando so you should consider adding it to your itinerary when you visit these locations.

My photo gallery includes pictures of the lighthouse, the famous Fresnel Lenses and the grounds which include a wonderful little museum.
