Really excited for this one. I’m a bit of a documentary nerd anyway, so naturally Ken Burns is one of my loves. But to have a Ken Burns documentary dealing with the primary issue this Nation faced during my childhood, the Vietnam War, paired with the music of the era soundtrack created by Trent Reznor, is going to be nothing short of amazing.
The article states that this will be a 10-part series and is scheduled for this fall. I’ll post more when I learn the actual schedule. Can’t wait.
Ken Burns and Trent Reznor would seem two unlikely collaborators, but both describe their recent work on the upcoming PBS documentary on the Vietnam War as among the most satisfying of their careers.

Central Florida is home to abundant assortment of wildlife. Everything from Alligators to Black Bear. Here is a small gallery of photos I took of the wildlife we came across in 2003 when we lived near Orlando.

Another event our family attended in 2003 while living in Central Florida was the fun Strawberry Festival in Plant City [ flstrawberryfestival.com ]. Similar to a State Fair there were rides, concerts (we saw Ricky Skaggs the year we attended) and of course, the required food that most of us secretly crave. It was a good time for all!

Of course Disney isn’t the only game in town in Orlando – especially these days. Back when we lived there in 2003 the primary competition was Universal Studios. We lived less than 10 miles from Disney World though so we only actually made it to City Walk at Universal once – for our wedding anniversary : )
Here are a few photos from that visit.

A key factor in the success of any photography business is the ability to produce technically sound images that stand out and differentiate your style from that of other photographers. As a pet photographer, one way to generate bold and professional-looking images from your outdoor sessions is to light your subjects with off-camera flash.

I’ve been coming across this story in various articles across the internet as many people seem to be intrigued with the idea of something like a “spend nothing” year. But for travel bugs it could very well be the thought of actually saving for that “bucket list” trip we’ve all dreamed of that might encourage us to be willing to do something many consider extreme.
This article helps you figure out a less extreme way of perhaps saving just enough for that dream tip. Give it a peek if you think you could use some guidance on figuring out the easier things to cut back on.
Tip: put some photos or travel brochures of your dream location all around, on the fridge, in the car, on your desk, for inspiration!
One woman saved more than $20,000 in a year by cutting most of her spending. You can do it, too.
