A BUDDING photographer with autism has been given the opportunity to be one of the VIP staff at a famous food festival.

For Jordan Shults, 19 – or J Shu as he prefers to be known – discovering photography was something of a stroke of luck when he needed to choose an extra subject while studying at Colchester Academy.

Shania Twain Revealed Lyme Disease Almost Ended Her Music Career

While Shania Twain says her painful divorce from her ex-husband Mutt Lange in 2010 was the primary reason for her 15-year hiatus from music, she recently revealed that it wasn’t the only explanation for her long musical interlude.

The country artist says she battled Lyme disease for several years after being bit by a tick in Norfolk, Virginia, according to The Sun. She spent a considerable time during her break from the music industry battling the illness, which resulted in dysphonia, a vocal cord disorder, and the loss of her voice for years.

Cheryl Rockwell, an assistant professor of pharmacology and toxicology in the College of Human Medicine, began studying the possible link between the synthetic food additive tert-butylhydroquinone, or tBHQ, nine years ago.

Now she has received an award from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to continue her work. The Outstanding New Environmental Scientist, or ONES, award comes with a $1.5 million, five-year grant to support her research.
